Calcium carbonate is the main source of calcium (Ca) used in animal feed. It is used to improve the yields of all kinds of animal feed. Due to its high purity and low humidity, several benefits are obtained:

• Improves the bone strength of all animals
• Improves the texture of the feed, facilitating its fluidity, and can improve consumption

Poultry farming

Due to the low calcium content of cereals (0.02% corn and 0.04% wheat), the contribution of calcium in the daily ration is necessary. The benefits it provides are:

• Improves the quality of the shell (95% is calcium carbonate) and its thickness, therefore increasing the weight of the egg.
• Increases retention time in gizzard
